Getting fat has become a bit of dampener these days with erratic working cum eating hours, improper habits, inability to focus better and other such ills which come one's way in these days of speed and more speed. All of these plus genetic factors have given rise to the burgeoning problem of obesity in our country and the world as well. The trend seems to be more in the urban areas.
Modern comforts and easy-come-easy-go approach are cited as the root causes for the rapid growth of the menace of obesity. Modern technical-gadgets such as ultra-modern lifts, television, computers, speed-kill cars and other ilk have turned a human being into a couch potato, providing instant and fleeting pleasure in a blink of an eye. They have made things and life far too easy and comfortable and only have encouraged humans to abandon taking life's hardships the hard way. A good example of these points to staircase and lifts. Earlier people used to climb staircases to reach their offices or homes, which is on say, a third or a fourth floor. Instead the swift thrill of a lift is preferred; the same if done daily only facilitates weight increase by 5 kilos at the end of the year.
Likewise if one were to eat a medium size apple or a large slice of extra bread daily, then one would find that at the end of the year his/her weighing scale will only rise up by 5 kilos.
The extra rise in weight daily only results in changing body system of an individual and converts him/her into a pot-bellied individual who will sweat and gasp for breath even on a short walk or climbing few stairs. Further more it also leads to a feeling of inferiority complex and later on to such ailments as diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pains, coronary artery diseases, paralysis, heart attack, gall stones problem and so on.
Medical research has confirmed that obesity leads to formation of cancer-related problems too.

Treatment Procedure
We follow an integrated approach towards treating Obesity based on scientific principles in treating the patient.
| |
|
 |
The first step we adopt is to conduct a thorough check of a patient body to make out health status. A consultant physician does the same. Steps such as blood test, thyroid profile, lipid profile and other such hormone tests are advised if and when necessary. After which remedial measures are suggested along with "Cellotherm Treatment" for weight reduction. |
 |
In the second step our Doctors use the "Computerised Body Composition Analyser" to detect the patient's body fat level, Lean Body Mass (includes muscles, organs and water) and water content of the body; attached to the analyser is a printer that prints a record of the body composition. After which data information of the concerned patient's dietary habits is obtained and based on these parameters, the necessary calorie intake is calculated. Then, a thorough data analysis is done and final result made known to the patient to help facilitate correction of nutritional defects. |
 |
Then follows "Cellotherm Treatment" for weight reduction. This envisages the usage of biological infra red waves that activates the adipocyte metabolism. Most of the adipocytes are situated beneath the skin which results in raising the general metabolism level leading to conversion of excess fat to glucose (lipolysis) which is converted into calories used to perform activities in daily life on a higher scale than before in day to day activities. Earlier the unused glucose in over-weight patients was getting converted into fat and once the "Cellotherm" treatment starts, the whole process is reversed. In this way the patient's weight problem is reduced. |
The above steps facilitate the regulation of a patient's diet habits and increase in calorie expenditure level, leading to creation of energy gap. The same of which is bridged by conversion of excess fat into glucose and later on into energy in the form of calories, which gets spent off in the day-to-day rigours. Another major factor is that Collagen Tissue (Connective Tissue) beneath the skin is stimulated making them hard and firm and prevent the skin from sagging making them firmer as an individual reduces his/her weight.
The computerised body adaptation system helps in facilitation of fat mobilisation from areas in the body system where fat is more. For instance, in case of men it will be more in abdominal area and in case of women, hips and thighs. The Body Composition Analyser helps in early diagnosis of overweight problem and take preventive measures to recede from chances of contraction of such deadly ailments as diabetes, paralysis, high blood pressure and so on.
The entire treatment procedure spans a period of eight to twelve weeks during which a gradual loss of 10 to 12 kilos is achieved comfortably. Reduction in weight and inches size helps in development of what can be called a dream figure and a youthful look.
Completion of Treatment
Once the treatment course is completed, the following steps are followed
| |
|
 |
Patient's body composition is done to ascertain to find if weight loss coincides with fat loss (herein it must be stressed that the patient developing complications or side effects is on the weight loss achieved through fat loss). |
 |
Diet habits to be followed are prescribed. |
 |
The follow-up visits can be anywhere between once or twice in two months. |
The same if followed, helps in complete cure of the patient's weight problem and this has been the case in almost 90-95% of our patients. The same has also been there even in case of patients who had come for treatment 10 years back.
Our clients include people from all walks of life cutting across income and age barriers.
