Hotel Baseraa Goes the Extra Mile to Make a Tourist Stay as Comfortable as Possible
The tourist land up at the airport, heads for the exit point with luggage to boot and wonders, where to head now? The mind gets warped with various options, so many hotels to choose from. They keep playing up and the mind twirls around. Bas, ab ek hi rasta hi..kya hi.. Chalo Hotel Baseraa. The words ‘Bas’ and Hotel Baseraa have a curious interwoven relationship between them and makes for a rather strange relationship. The choice made up, the drive begins to the said Hotel Baseraa. Once the destination point comes, the tourist feels or rather made to feel at ease by the sprightly and smartly dressed guard who ushers him or her to the reception of the hotel. So here we are at Hotel Baseraa. The hotel has the tag of being one of the oldest hotels in the city. A three star hotel with all trappings of luxury and comfort, made its entry into the said business in the year 1982. In those early days it evoked feelings of awe and mesmerised the onlookers. It still has that mesmerising touch, that magnetic aura and has been able to bathe it better and better with every passing day. And today it stands proud and spirited on a platform of sheer respect. The first immediate impression a tourist gets is it being located at a vantage point. One, which is centrally located, a place, which has easy access to the city’s airport, railway station and bus terminus. Just waft through them, 10 minutes drive from airport, 5 minutes from railway station and within walking distance of bus terminus and shopping centres in Secunderabad. All of them are within hand shaking distance. This in itself acts as a major plus in its favour. It’s time to figure out its other plus points and flick through the same: Facilities
The first thing that inevitably comes up is the room facilities. There are 77 rooms, well dressed up, spacious, ventilated and spruced up, and then there are attached bath facilities. The rooms are bifurcated as follows:
The tourist has the option of having an extra bed; of course extra dole has to be forked out for the same. To make the stay in the room a lot sweeter, each one of them has the following facilities:
To make the stay go that extra mile, better round the clock room service is available and the same ensures every need of the tourist is met and taken care of. And another plus point that needs to be mentioned is that the tourist and his entourage are served with delicious and mouth watering breakfast. This gets the show go ahead and the batteries of the tourist all charged up for the day. Added to this, the hotel has its own beautifully dressed up shopping arcade and other such attractive pluses as:
Belly aches, no cause to get tensioned up, cause one knows what it is. Bellyache means its time to head to the hotel’s fine and neatly decked up multi-cuisine restaurant called ‘Mehfill’. Being a popular haunt with an attached permit-room, the restaurant serves up Indian, Chinese, Continental and Hyderabadi specialities. The icing on the cake comes up with melodious and soft humming of ghazals in the background. Clean bowled by an Outswinger, not the classic outswinger from the Indian legend Kapil Dev, and a master of the said trade. Here we are talking of another Outswinger, a place where one can let out his passionate feelings into open and get the bottled up spirits unleashed. Baithak is a function hall with a PA system. The hall serves up as a fine place for kitty parties, medium-sized get-togethers and other such events, which can take in 25 to 75 persons at a given time. Time to get the jaunty spirits swished out from the mind and put up a business like attitude. Head for the Mini-Conference-Hall, which can take in 15 to 30 people at a time. This is an ideal place for holding business meets and seminars. The hotel has a fine and beautifully done-up Garden aptly called ‘Baseraa Gardens’. The place is a sprawling mass of land bathed in greenery. The feast really tames the popped-up eyes, a perfect getup for large banquets, wedding receptions and other such occasions. Takes in around 1,500 people at a time. And there is a fine Parlour where one can savour a wide array of ice creams and bakery foodstuff. The parlour is blessed with an in-house bakery stall, which dishes out superb cookies, cakes and pastries. On to the service roll-list: ServicesThe following services are offered to the tourist:
So, you see why it is such a pleasant place to stay at when in the city of Hyderabad. Its price range is swathed between the highs of the biggies and the lows of the standard hotels. Something that is neither too high nor too low. And more importantly not one to make a hole in the pocket or a pocket bulge, but the money spent here is well spent and the stay – real cool and comfortable.
