History

This photo lab and studio has passed the baton to through three generations of an enterprising Jain family settled in an area called Trimulgherry. Very soon it will pass on to the hands of the fourth generation. The year of its start up was 1936, the camera age was in its infancy in what was then British India, and a gentleman called Parasmal Jain took up the cudgels and opened a photo studio. The name “Victory” was given by a British army officer friend of Mr Parasmal Jain. Back then it was the era of black and white, colour was still a distant dream.

Through the 1930’s, the war times of the 1940’s to 2002 can be termed as a real saga of travails and trials. From the rather ungainly clicking and adjustment posture of field cameras to the sophisticated digital camera, where one can get instant photograph with a mere click; it has been a real switchover of wonders.

The photo studio started off in a small ramshackle rack with field cameras pitch forked on three long legged holders. Today the same studio has diversified into a behemoth having seven branches in various parts of city. All of them being swanky and plush photo lab and studios well equipped with the best of infrastructure and a working environment of the professional order. Products

It encompasses the entire gamut of a customer requirement. The photo showroom has a truly sophisticated equipment base with the stuff imported from Japan, the world famous Konica. The equipment called Konica Nice Print System is highly sophisticated and encompasses the fastest photo processing technology in the world. It gives dry-to-dry print form (8 * 12”) of one roll in just 200 seconds. The entire job work of one roll from booking to finished photo delivery gets done in approximately 20 minutes The Laboratory room is a fully computerised one where the photographs are developed and printed.

The output comes as a cake of sorts to the customer with the choice of different sizes and brands being dangled. And they come in matt and glossy kinds making one’s eyes rollover many a time. The instant output further puts the icing on the cake and could be enlarged up to 40” * 60” size.

The photographs takes every form, be it passport, portrait, group, fashion, industrial, functions and Conferences. Its photo lab and studio caters to the need of every kind of customer from ordinary householder to corporate houses to film land folks to professional photographers and newspaper houses and so on.
