Apr 15, 2002: Mumbai: Indian designer Ritu Beri, who is aiming to revive the spirit at the house of Jean-Louis Scherrer, joins Be: the prêt-a-porter line of ready-to-wear designer wear from Raymonds Ltd.

The Rs.1,400 crore garment major’s prêt collection already hosts other fashion stalwarts like Rohit Bal, Aki Narulla and Arjun Khanna among others.

Ritu’s spring summer collection Be: is called `Lavanya’.

Indo-Italian Chamber to offer training in fashion garments

Chennai: The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is offering a free training programme for Indian companies with interests in the fashion garment sector.

The courses are operated and co-financed under the Asia-Invest programme of the European Commission in collaboration with the Centre for the Textile Industry of the Emilia Romagna region (CITER), a non-profit organisation located in Capri,which is the largest hosiery industry centre in Italy.
