The company, which achieved a sales turnover of Rs 24 crore in the domestic market in 2001-2002, has already started operations in Canada. The company has obtained the necessary approvals from the Canadian health authorities for selling its products in that country. Skin care products see glow in October salesDec 14, 2002: Mumbai: Sales of skin care products have seen a sudden spurt in volumes, with the segment posting a 13% growth in October as against the sluggish 1.2% growth in September. The upturn appears to have been fuelled by aggressive launches of new products, variants and brand extensions by FMCG companies, which have led to an expansion in their product portfolios. A downward revision in the average price of skin care products across the board during the year also helped expand the market, analysts said. The growth was further encouraged by the launch of variants such as Ayurvedic Fair & Lovely, an under-eye cream and the relaunch of Lakme’s Maximum Moisturiser, the growth in its sales made the entire segment look better. Launch of two herbal oils for a blemish-free skinDec 16, 2002: Two Herbal oils have been launched by the Chennai-based Singh Siddhaa Pharmaceuticals in Tamil Nadu for a blemish-free skin from fire burns, ulcers, acne and black dots. These oils are totally chemical-free and are made from herbs. Green Singhol-NH cleans and removes dirt from minute pores of the face and skin. It removes the black dots and acne from the face. Red Singhol-NH, a toxin remover, helps remove the blemish caused by burns, wounds, abrasions and diabetic wounds.
