In an interim order, SC has directed the co-ordinator of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) to not allot any seats for the time being in the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, PilaniIt has asked for the same to be set aside till an appropriate system comes into vogue.
Earlier around 100 students had challenged the Rajasthan High Court’s judgment to include admission to BITS within the purview of AIEEE. They had not appeared in the said examination as they had felt sure of getting into the institute on the basis of rank performance in the Plus Two exam.
